Faced with aggressive market competition, Fernox identified two key objectives:

• Reducing the production costs of magnetic assemblies in their magnetic filtration products to maintain a competitive edge.
• Enhancing performance and efficiency without compromising quality.

Fernox partnered with GUK Magnetics to address these challenges.

Drawing upon extensive knowledge of bespoke magnet assemblies and advanced Finite Element Simulation techniques, GUK Magnetics’ engineering team undertook a comprehensive evaluation of the existing design:

• Collaborative Approach: Initial meetings clearly outlined the requirements, defining project goals and objectives in detail.
• Advanced Simulation and Analysis: GUK Magnetics’ engineers performed detailed flow simulations based on the agreed design concepts, clearly identifying areas for optimisation.
• Technical Presentation and Testing: The simulation outcomes and suggested design modifications were thoroughly presented to Fernox, with prototype samples provided for rigorous testing and validation.
• Design Optimisation: Following successful prototype testing, GUK Magnetics’ recommendations were implemented, significantly enhancing product efficiency and lowering manufacturing costs.

Through this bespoke engineering process, Fernox achieved measurable improvements in cost-effectiveness, increased product reliability, and reduced lead times.
