Yes. One Tesla is equivalent to one Weber per square metre.
How do I convert kOe to kA/m?
Multiply the value in kOe by approximately 79.577. For example, 10 kOe is approximately 795.77 kA/m.
How do I convert MGOe to kJ/m³?
Multiply the MGOe value by approximately 7.958. A maximum energy product of 42 MGOe is therefore approximately 334.2 kJ/m³.
Does an N42 magnet have exactly 42 MGOe?
Not necessarily. The grade number broadly corresponds to the material’s maximum energy product, but datasheets normally specify an acceptable BHmax range. The grade name also does not define temperature resistance, coercivity or every other performance characteristic.
Can field strength always be converted directly into flux density?
No. A direct conversion using B = μ₀H is appropriate only for air or vacuum. Inside magnets, steel and other materials, permeability and magnetic behaviour must also be considered.
