Hyperloop Manchester

Founded in 2019, Hyperloop Manchester is a student-led organisation dedicated to pioneering the development and implementation of Hyperloop technology in the UK. The team, which has grown to include over 50 active members and 30 alumni from a wide range of nationalities and backgrounds, is focused on designing and developing their cutting-edge prototype, Hyperman 1.

Hyperloop Manchester is recognised for its competitive success, having been finalists in the European Hyperloop Week (EHW) 2021. The team regularly competes in pod competitions organised by some of the world’s most esteemed institutions, with ambitions to participate in the renowned SpaceX competitions.

Hyperloop Manchester required a trusted engineering partner to support the magnetic levitation system central to their Hyperman 1 project. They turned to GUK Magnetics for our expertise in bespoke permanent magnets and magnetic assemblies.
